Dance Congress 2013

The city of Düsseldorf will become a dance stage from 6 to 9 June. Based on the motto “Bewegungen übersetzen – Performing Translations“, the Dance Congress 2013 will present and reflect on current international trends in the field of professional dance.

What musical experiments came before the likes of Claude Debussy, Edgar Varèse or John Cage shook up the conventions of traditional music culture? Artists from Poland and Germany are teaming up for a joint musical expedition and will develop compositions, choreographies and sound samples.

Kader Attia: Following Modern Genealogy, 2012, (Collage)

Kader Attia Exhibition in Berlin

For his first institutional solo exhibition in Germany, the French-Algerian artist Kader Attia has developed a locally-specific work for the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin which addresses the relationship between Western and non-Western cultures.

Modell des 1:1 Modells (Robbrecht en Daem 2012)

Mies 1:1 – The Golf Club Project - Architecture exhibition in Krefeld

The exhibition focuses on a new clubhouse which Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed for the Krefeld Golf Club in 1930, but was never built. The Belgian architect Paul Robbrecht will supervise the construction of a 1:1-scale model of the clubhouse at the original location.
