General Project Funding – Open to all artistic fields and topics
The Foundation’s General Project Funding supports a variety of projects irrespective of their particular topic or artistic field. The funding competence must clearly lie at the federal level. According to the Foundation’s charter, federal funding can only be provided to larger projects with an international scope.

If you wish to apply for project funding, make sure your project is eligible for funding first by reading the Federal Cultural Foundation's funding criteria.

New funding criteria
General Project Funding will only consider projects that require at least 50,000 euro and have at least 20 percent of their entire costs secured through personal capital and/or third-party financing.
Submission deadline for applications
The submission deadline for the next Jury session is 31 July 2012 (date of postmark). When sending applications by mail, the applicant must ensure that the envelope is postmarked to prove it was submitted in time.
The next jury sessions
Twice a year, an independent jury of experts reviews the submitted applications and selects those which it deems worthy of funding. The next jury session will take place on 9-10 May 2012, at which the jury will consider applications submitted prior to 31 January 2012. Please note that projects pending funding notification cannot begin before the date of the jury session. The following jury session will take place in autumn 2012, at which the jury will consider applications submitted prior to 31 July 2012.
