Karl Bruckmaier
Karl Bruckmaier, born in Lower Bavaria in 1956, studied Communication Sciences, Politics and American Cultural History. Since 1978 he has regularly worked at the Bayrischer Rundfunk as a radio presenter of music-journalistic pieces and as a director and writer of radio plays. His radio play interpretation of "Jackie" by Elfriede Jelinek received the Blind War Veterans' Radio Theatre Prize in 2003. Karl Bruckmaier is a two-time winner of the German Audio Book Prize and his production of "Die Ästhetik des Widerstands" by Peter Weiss was selected as "Audio Book of the Year" in 2007.
