The Pursuit of Happiness
A joint programme by the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater and the Kopergietery in Ghent (Belgium) - supported by the Wanderlust Fund
The Kopergietery in Belgium has made a name for itself with wonderfully poetic theatre pieces that combine dance, performance, concerts and acting. The Young Staatstheater Oldenburg pursues a similar approach in its interdisciplinary projects for children, teenagers and adults. Together with actors and dancers from Oldenburg and Gent Belgian director and choreographer Randi De Vlieghe will produce a piece focussing on a society of antiheros (for children aged 5 and older). Performances, workshops and guest performances will take place in Oldenburg and Ghent.

The Wanderlust Fund
The German Federal Cultural Foundation established the Wanderlust Fund to support German municipal and state theatres that wish to engage in a partnership of exchange with a foreign theatre for a period of two to three seasons.
Wanderlust blog
In February 2010 the participating theatres began sharing their impressions of their joint meetings, workshops, guest performances and co-productions in our Wanderlust blog. In addition each season, three Pfadfinder (scouts) head out and visit the Wanderlust projects, describe the international theatre partnerships and document these exciting cross-border encounters in texts and images.
