Further Informations
Cultural education in the fields of theatre, dance and music
The programme area Art of Education contains projects that emphasize cultural education and aesthetic appreciation. The New Music Network, for example, aims to acquaint larger audiences with contemporary music, and An Instrument for Every Child, one of the largest projects ever funded by the Federal Cultural Foundation, provides children with musical instruction.
The Federal Cultural Foundation established the Home Game fund to support theatre projects that address the urban and social reality of their cities and increase the public’s interest in their cities’ theatres and productions. The Federal Cultural Foundation also established the Wanderlust Fund in 2008 which helps German municipal and state theatres enter cooperative partnerships with theatres abroad. The Dance Plan Germany aims to strengthen dance as an independent field of art. It works to improve the structural conditions for dance and support newly-established dance projects.
