Peter Harry Carstensen

-1976 to 1983 in a teaching and advisory capacity at the Agricultural School and Economic Advisory Office Bredstedt.
-Joined the CDU in 1971.
-1983 to 2005 member of the German Bundestag.
-1994 to 2002 chairman of the Committee for Food, Agriculture and Forestry.
-July 2000 to June 2002 deputy head of the CDU Schleswig-Holstein section.
-June 2002 to September 2010 Chairman of the CDU Schleswig-Holstein section.
-November 2005 to October 2006 President of the German Bundesrat.
-Since April 2005 Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein and member of the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag.
