Alexander Farenholtz

Member of the Executive Board and Administrative Director

Alexander Farenholtz became the Administrative Director and member of the Executive Board of the German Federal Cultural Foundation in Halle an der Saale, Germany in 2002. Prior to joining the Foundation, he headed the Department of Art and Music Academies, Promotion of Young Musicians and Academics at the Ministry of Science, Research and Art in Baden-Württemberg. From 1989 to 1993, he was managing director of the documenta and the Museum Fridericianum Veranstaltungs-GmbH in Kassel. Between 1996 and 2000, he worked for the EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH as its cultural programme director, and starting in 1997, as the company’s authorised signatory.
