Born in Öhringen (Hohenlohe) in 1964, Wolfgang Hörner studied Biology, Philosophy, German philology and Comparative Literature in Würzburg, Heidelberg and York, England. He worked at the Eichborn Verlag from 1990 to 1998, after which he established and managed Eichborn Berlin until 2008. In 2009, he founded and has since managed the publishing company Galiani Berlin which has published works by Karen Duve, Sven Regener, Frank Schulz, Jan Costin Wagner, Bruno Peisendörfer and Ai Weiwei. In addition to teaching at the University of Heidelberg and the FU Berlin, he has written articles and reports for newspaper, magazines and radio.
