4th Children to Olympus! congress

The Federal Cultural Foundation, the Cultural Foundation of German Länder and the state capital of Munich jointly coordinated the 4th Children to Olympus! congress based on the motto "Concrete! Cooperating for Cultural Education" in Munich on 25-26 June 2009. The congress took stock of the last five years of educational projects. Although more and more people are talking about "cultural education", to what extent have the funded cooperative projects between culture and education become reality - or even a part of everyday life? How has the relationship between culture and education developed, irrespective of what political and cultural commentators tell us? Much has changed in recent years - at the national, state and municipal level, in schools and the cultural field, among cultural institutions, artists, art colleges and institutes that specialize in cultural education. Yet the question remains - are we on the right path? Where do we really want to go?

The congress aimed at all those who are responsible for the aesthetic-cultural education of young children and teenagers: parents, educators, school teachers and planners, state and municipal representatives, cultural institutions, artists, associations, foundations, universities and colleges.
