Xtreme Houses

The project Xtreme Houses examined how society designs space for itself and addressed the question of what "home" means to us. Almost all the houses on display at the exhibition were built between 1995 and 2003 and represented radical and unique solutions in terms of shelter. Several new houses were constructed on site at the exhibition venue. The exhibition featured a large variety of life-size prototypes of houses, as well as scale models, sketches, photographs and projections of selected houses.
