Project description
The exhibition by curator Marianna Liosi for the Kunstraum Kreuzberg – Bethanien investigates the relationship between site-specific memory, the current environmental crisis and continued existence of colonial structures. Starting in April 2025, the exhibition in Berlin presents artistic practices which activate damaged spaces and use disruption as an act of decolonisation and resistance. At the same time, it explores whether ecological systems can be reappropriated and heal themselves independent of and even despite human intervention. The exhibition is accompanied by installations, discussions and film screenings, co-curated by the corresponding artists. In addition to the group exhibition, workshops will also take place in Berlin.
