Projekt

The exhibition at Museum Giersch of the Goethe University in Frankfurt explores how societies are handling the climate crisis and to what extent their actions are based on their ideas about the future. The exhibition aims to broaden dialogue between the University and the urban community and encourage interdisciplinary consideration of the Anthropocene and global environmental justice. Works of art by James Bridle and Gwenola Wagon, for example, examine the fraught relationship between radical insecurity and the desire for control with respect to global warming. Decolonial approaches from the Solarpunk genre and Jordan Awori’s speculative city portraits shift the perspective to more equitable models for the future.
