Heidenheim Youth Culture Network

Founded in May 2024, the Kulturbündnis Heidenheim aims to strengthen youth culture in Heidenheim and promote social interaction through artistic projects. It emerged from a network of local cultural workers who organised the “Junge Kulturfest” (Youth Culture Festival) for the first time in 2023, and it is committed to a diverse, accessible and contemporary cultural scene. As a city with a population of around 50,000, Heidenheim faces the challenge of retaining young people and creating spaces for cultural participation – this is precisely where the alliance comes in with interactive formats, such as street art workshops, music, art walks and festivals. With LOKAL, a position is to be created that will coordinate the existing voluntary work and establish new partnerships, such as with the city’s museums, as well as with children’s and youth organisations.
