New Horizons

There are several East European languages, such as Estonian or Slovenian, which are spoken by only a small number of people. Within these countries, many of which are new to the European Union, there is no existing literary infrastructure through which writers can come in contact with one another nor with other writers abroad. From spring to summer 2005, this series of readings to be held at the Haus des Buches in Leipzig will help alleviate the situation by inviting two writers at a time to share their works and ideas in a public forum.
