Circus Connects

Building bridges, boosting self-confidence, and opening up new possibilities through circus—since 2022, the KunstRaum Kelbra has been striving to achieve these goals with the CircusMühle Kelbra. The creation and production venue for this contemporary circus is located in an old field mill in the middle of a settlement with 3,000 inhabitants in the southern Harz region. In the circus, the unfamiliar is tradition, and the association wants to make use of this in LOKAL: it wants to cooperate with local people on artistic projects and create encounters in public spaces. “Circus Connects” thus aims to highlight new perspectives for creative cooperation despite the challenges facing the region.
