Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg Award

The Wilhelm Braun-Feldweg Award encourages young designers to devote time to the theoretical issues of their profession through writing. The prize is awarded to design students and graduates who write an academic paper examining the relationship between design and society. The critical nature of this award, established in 2003, sets it apart from the more traditional product-oriented design prizes which already exist. The Federal Cultural Foundation will fund the publication of a volume of award-winning papers.
