On 1 January 2023, the Federal Cultural Foundation has welcomed Katarzyna Wielga-Skolimowska as its new Artistic Director and successor to Hortensia Völckers. Regarding the Magazine, the occasion offers us a chance to press the “pause” button and take stock of what we have stored in our Magazine’s archive. Not everyone has read everything, perspectives have changed, some issues have become relevant once again, and others continue to be surprisingly and even shockingly topical.

We invite you to peruse the following compilation of past articles which exemplify and remind us of the Magazine’s broad and multifaceted spectrum of genres, themes and authors. It was a difficult choice to make in view of the approximately 400 contributing German and international authors and countless programmes and projects with their diverse range of focuses. All the articles published in the Magazine over the years are thematically related to specific projects and programmes which were funded by the Federal Cultural Foundation. Therefore, the following selection of listed articles is by no means representative of the whole:

Numerous print editions can be reordered free of charge. Until issue 30, the magazines are available in English. Please let us know your desired issues and your address.
